This is a video with separate short talks on art issues that touch on some of my internal hands-on thinking about picture making.
1) Colour Theory. A few simple but essential points regarding how I orchestrate color.
2) Craftsmanship. Attention to process, materials, and the logic of how something is built, is key.
3) Methods. Inventing and employing a variety of picture making methods is important in sustaining excitement.
4) Keep your art visible. Why keeping your art on continual display will provide you with much insight.
5) Paint it Black. A short, enjoyable painting exercise that has a lot to do with how I go about composing/designing, with a reliance on automatic mark making.
