DEMO:
Small impressions painting miniature still lifes in oil or acrylic. This class will enhance your abilities to express color, encourage daily painting habits, create expressive little gems, abstracted in light and shadow.
Week 1:
Sketch different geometric figures, figures and simple still life.
Week 2:
Create a balanced composition and still life set-up.
Week 3:
Painting the still life, focusing on color harmony, light shadow and composition.
Week 4:
Painting the still using impressionistic techniques (e.g. loose brushwork, lost and found edges, focus on light depth.
6-8 canvas panels
My personal preference is 6x6, 8x8, 12x12
