Workshop Description

In this one-day workshop, Steph will guide participants through reflective writing focused on self-expression through poetry. Using guided prompts, quiet writing time, and discussion, participants will explore how poetry can help us translate feeling into words and reconnect with our own creative voice. Open to all experience levels, this workshop is an invitation to curiosity and honest expression rather than critique or perfection.

Workshop Schedule

Hour 1 — Arriving + Opening the Creative Space

Welcome and introductions

Brief Powerpoint presentation introducing the workshop theme, creative approach, and what participants can expect

Setting the tone and intention for the workshop

A grounding exercise or reflective prompt

Exploring the workshop theme together

Discussion and optional sharing

Focus: Settling in, opening creatively, and building connection

10-Minute Break

Hour 2 — Exploration + Creative Movement

Guided writing exercise focused on imagery, emotion, or memory

Exploring different approaches to expression and voice

Discussion and optional sharing

Focus: exploration, curiosity, and creative flow

10-Minute Break

Hour 3 — Deepening + Reflection

Final guided writing activity

Time to expand into new ideas or unexpected directions

Optional reading or sharing of pieces created during the workshop

Group reflection and closing thoughts

Focus: expression, reflection, and leaving with new creative energy
